Drinking Fountain Troubleshooting

Where do I find the model number of my drinking fountain or water cooler? There are few different places the model numbers are located. The model number usually consists of Wholesale New Water Dispensers Factoryletters and numbers. Example . If you have a wall mounted drinking fountain or water cooler, the model number is typically located on the bottom of it. You may have to lie on the ground and look up at it.

On floor mounted drinking fountains and water coolers the model number will usually be on the very bottom of the unit, on the side or on the inside of one of the panels. My drinking fountain or water cooler is leaking from the spout. (When I push the push bar, the water continues to run when I let it go.) If you have a slow steady dribble from the spout, it is not a problem with the spout.

Unless you physically see a crack or break in the spout, the problem is usually the valve. The valve is what controls the water flow. Find the model number on the drinking fountain or water cooler and we will be able to find the correct valve for you. My drinking fountain or water cooler has an internal leak. There are a few common spots internally where a drinking fountain or water cooler leaks. The drain gasket, cooling tank and push in fittings are the most common. My drinking fountain or water cooler does not cool anymore. Sometimes a thermostat, overload or relay is the problem and that is an easy, inexpensive fix. Many times the problem with the refrigeration system needs professional repair.

If you have a coolant leak or have to replace the cooling components you will need a refrigeration technician who has the equipment and know how to troubleshoot and replace those parts. How do I check my Solenoid? If you push your push bar and the water continues to run even when you let go of the push bar, you could have a bad solenoid valve. The way you check this is to push the push bar, let it go, and when the water continues to run, unplug the water cooler. If the water continues to run your solenoid is “stuck on,” and is bad. You need to replace the solenoid.  If it does turn off when you unplug it, then it is one of the switches, not the solenoid.
